KINGS of BOSPOROS. Asander. As archon, circa 47-43 BC. AV Stater (18.5mm, 8.20 g, 1h). Dated RY 3 (45/4 BC). Bare head right / APXONTOΣ AΣANΔPOY [B]OΣΠOPOY, Nike, holding wreath in extended right hand, cradling palm frond in left arm, standing left on prow left; TЭ [Γ] (sic, date) across upper field, A to inner left. Frolova & Ireland § 6, 3 (O2/R3); Natwoka 2a; Anokhin 1315 (same dies as illustration); MacDonald 191; RPC I 1844; HGC 7, 199; DCA 447. VF, small area of flat strike on obverse, a little off center on reverse. Very rare.
